Why Intelligent People Don’t Use Counting and Numbers

I was listening to a podcast the other day where somebody stated that "intelligent life" counts because counting is repetition.

It’s exactly the opposite. You don’t use counting because there is no such thing as repetition. Everything happens just once, exactly like this. So, repetition is a confusing term.

For example, saying "there are two people" is considered to be extremely impolite among some people because no two people are the same. So, you don’t use numbers when talking about living organisms.

You also don’t use repetition when talking about time. Time is like the seasons—it’s true that we have winter now and a winter next year (repetition), but next year’s winter will be different from this one. So, you only have one winter like this and one next year.
